“Alles hängt davon ab, ob es zwischen der Welt und uns einen Draht gibt, der vibriert” - “Everything is depending on whether there is a vibrating wire between us and the world”

 Hartmut Rosa

This quote by Hartmut Rosa brilliantly summarises the intentions of my work. I consider it important to create tension and emotions between the audience, my work and sometimes myself as a performer; therefore my ideas find their climax in performative and interactive installations, spurring that immediate and ephemeral exchange between my creation and the audience.

I often confront the viewer in the most natural way - by using the body as a container of sculptural energy and recourses. The interplay between distance and proximity, and creating a sense of well-being and discomfort allow me to express different kinds of relationships and encounters.

My works are grounds on which body and mind converge.

A memory is transformed into a physical experience. My art often finds its origin in my personality; by translating my thoughts into the here and now I give the audience the opportunity to submerge into my interpretation of the experiences that have shaped me. That, in turn, becomes a new memory for my participating audience and me.

A perpetuum mobile.
